EASTER HOLIDAY TRAVEL ADJUSTMENTS AND END OF TERM 1 EXAMINATIONS

Please be informed that in preparation for the Easter holidays, students will not attend school on Thursday, March 28th. This adjustment is made to accommodate travelling arrangements for the holiday period.

Students are expected to report back to school on April 2nd, upon which they will immediately commence their End of Term 1 examinations. It is imperative that students utilize this holiday period wisely to engage in focused study sessions in preparation for their exams.

ADJUSTMENT OF EXAM TIMETABLE

We would like to inform you of the changes made to our End of Term 1 2024 examination schedule.

Originally, the examination was set to begin on the 25th of March 2024 according to our school calendar, but have since been rescheduled for April 2nd (Tuesday) 2024, immediately after the Easter holidays. This decision was made to provide our students with enough time to prepare and perform at their level best .

Please encourage students  to utilize the extended preparation period wisely.

IMPLEMENTATION OF Classe365 ERP SYSTEM

We are pleased to inform you that Emerald Academy has successfully implemented a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system called Classe365. The introduction of the Classe365 system brings forth several benefits, including improved parent-teacher communication, streamlined management of payment details and invoices, and timely notifications regarding upcoming school events. To access the portal, kindly be vigilant for a text message or email notification containing your username and password. These credentials will grant you access to the platform, where you can avail of various features tailored to facilitate your engagement with the school community.

END OF FEBRUARY TEST REMINDER

We would like to bring to your attention that the end of February test for all students will take place next week on the 26th of February. This assessment marks an important milestone in our academic calendar, providing an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of the material covered thus far.

​

In preparation for this examination, we kindly urge parents to ensure that the students are equipped with the necessary stationery and materials required for the test. Having access to essential tools such as pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, and any other relevant items will enable students to perform to the best of their abilities and optimize their testing experience.

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE: PE SESSIONS MOVED TO FRIDAY

Kindly be informed that after careful consideration, the school management and our extracurricular partners have agreed to move our PE sessions from Wednesdays to Fridays effective next week (week starting 05/02/24).

​

Adjustments to the timetables will be sent to respective class groups. 

This decision will allow student to leave immediately after their sporting activities at 13:15hrs on Fridays, to allow those with traveling plans to do so without asking for permission. School time slots are summarized as follows:

INVITATION TO FAMILY FUN DAY CELEBRATION

​

We are delighted to invite all students and their families to attend the fun and exciting activity. 

The Family Fun Day celebration organized by the school aims to bring children together to play, share, and enjoy themselves. It will also foster unity among families and to have some fun and spend some informal time with our parent community. Moreover, this event will give family members and their children a chance to celebrate the meaning of being a family and to spend quality time with their loved ones by participating in fun activities together.

​

We have a few activities planned for the kids and parents. There will be some free activities which include swimming and water slides, Electric Marry Go Round, Flying Fighter Jets, Zip slide, Kiddies Excavator, and other optional activities at a fee which include roller coaster ride, rides on quad bikes, and rides on a choochoo train. However, teachers and parents will be on hand to supervise children as they partake in these activities.

​

Among the other activities are the following: Mhele, 30 seconds, taboo, three-legged race, and piggy bag. 

We have several activities scheduled from 09:00 am to 17:00 hrs on the day in question. We kindly request your contribution of P120.00, which will cover the entrance fee and meals since the school only caters to students, parents must pay their entrance fee, which is P50.00 as well as meals. Contributions should be made to the school by March 15, 2024, for early preparations for the event. We strongly encourage all students to participate in this activity, as this will allow us to engage with one another outside of the classroom setting.

 

Students will be given an indemnity form, which will be requested to return to school with contributions. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to spending the day with you.

​

NB: We will not be offering transportation to students; parents are responsible for making transport arrangements, and all students are requested to come with a family member.

VALENTINE'S DAY CIVIES ANOUNCEMENT

​

With Valentine’s Day approaching on February 14th, we are delighted to announce a special event to mark this occasion. On civies day, we encourage all students to participate by adding a splash of color to our world. Therefore, we kindly request that students wear attire in the colors of black, white, and red.

​

In addition to celebrating this festive day, we invite students to contribute five pula towards providing snacks for the day. Your generosity will enhance the enjoyment of this occasion for everyone involved.

Let us come together as a community and make this Valentine’s Day a memorable and vibrant experience.
